The people who are suffering from patchy beard or loss of facial hair from goatee, sideburns or other parts of the face are the right candidates for beard transplant. If a patient has a medical condition such as alopecia areata, frontal fibrosing alopecia, or certain metabolic conditions that result in the loss of facial hair, they may need further medical consultation to ensure the possibility of hair regrowth following the transplant procedure.
The usual recovery time for beard transplant procedure is roughly a week. Full growth of natural beard from the transplanted hair follicles will be visible in 2 – 3 months.
Patients usually experience little or no discomfort following a beard transplant. You should be able to get back to routine activities & work in couple of days, although you should abstain from exhausting exercise for a few days to avoid & minimize any swelling.
